Client Overview

Waukee, Iowa has grown from a quiet bedroom community into one of the fastest-growing cities in the state, and Wauktoberfest is the community's way of celebrating that story. Organized by the Waukee Area Historical Society, this annual autumn festival transforms the historic downtown Triangle into a hub of live music, local beer, German-inspired food, and community spirit each October.

Stark Raving Madge Wauktoberfest Promo

A high-energy video promotion and social post created to drive ticket sales for Wauktoberfest 2024 by spotlighting its headline entertainment. I took supplied live performance clips from a popular local 70s homage band and edited them into a punchy, fast-paced video teaser for Facebook and Instagram. The accompanying copywriting explicitly mirrors the nostalgic, rock-and-roll energy of the band, channeling that excitement directly into a frictionless ticket-buying link. VIEW HERE

Today's the Day!

A "day-of" launch graphic and social media post created for Wauktoberfest 2024, an event presented by the Waukee Area Historical Society. To drive immediate local attendance hours before kickoff, the design repurposes a lively, candid photograph from the event archives to showcase the festival's authentic community energy. The execution combines a clean, brand-compliant typographic layout with brief, high-excitement copywriting designed to act as an urgent, frictionless reminder for residents to head downtown. WAHS Presents: Wauktoberfest Sponsored By...

A multi-tiered sponsor appreciation graphic and promotional social post created for Wauktoberfest in 2024. I manually sourced, cleaned, and formatted over 40 individual corporate logos into a single cohesive layout, using clean, brand-colored header blocks to establish a clear visual hierarchy. This structured grid ensures high-value partners receive their contracted visibility while the accompanying copy balances public gratitude with a strategic call-to-action to drive ticket sales. Say Hello to the Team!

A behind-the-scenes community-building post created for Wauktoberfest 2024 to humanize the festival’s parent organization, the Waukee Area Historical Society. I deliberately left the raw, in-person board meeting photo unedited and free of graphic overlays to maintain a sense of grassroots authenticity. The copywriting serves a deeper educational purpose, shifting the narrative away from a standard festival promotion to explain exactly how ticket profits fund local historic preservation and a future museum.
